What: 2021 High Adventure Trip to Sea Base St. Thomas
When: June, 19-25. May be less based in itinerary chosen
Where: Sea Base on St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands
Mr. Bellissimo, Mr. Harryman, Mr. Moore and Mr. Cook are happy to announce that we have reserved to attend Sea Base High Adventures in June 2021, and that we have some space available for members of the Troop. This sailing adventure is a 6 night, 7 day St. Thomas – St. John Island Adventure on a 40ft Sailing boat. This is a working ship where YOU are the crew. Everyone pitches in with the sailing and cooking chores. You will do on-board navigation, star study, and lots of sailing, snorkeling, fishing and much more.
This is limited availability and first come, first served event. We have reserved 2 boats and will also have a waiting list based on demand to potentially add additional boats/adventures. Each ***** will be required to complete a Wilderness First Aid course prior to the Trip.

Due to this being a High Adventure activity we reserve the right to refuse acceptance based on Scout and ***** safety.

1) Registered member of the BSA
2) 13 years of age or older, before the Scout arrives to Sea Base.
3) Completed BSA Swim Test in a Strong Manner
4) Completed BSA Health & Medical Record
5) Weighs less than 250 lbs.
The cost range per person paid to BSA will be $900-$1300 depending on final crew size. This fee does not include travel cost to and from, and spending money on the way there and back, or while underway. The is estimated to be an additional $1,200 or roughly $2,500 p.p. total cost for the trip. Flight scheduling for departure and return will be held at the "Crew" meetings and the first 1 will be scheduled in March 2020. The consensus at the moment is to fly out the day before and return the day of departure from sea base, but this will all be discuss as a "Crew".
A $300 deposit per person will need to be paid by Feb 10, 2020. The rest of the payment dates are listed below. A 3% additional charge will be added to all credit card payments.
We have 2 more schedule payments. The price for these 2 payments will be determined by attendance. The schedule payments are October 2020 and February 2021 and both payments will be half of the remainder payment owed.
To reduce some of the cost we are going to work towards doing some fundraisers and will need all who are attending to participate. You will only receive the portion of the fundraisers you attend. The “crew” will work together on organizing these events.
